Most Internet Service providers (ISP) caches DNS records to increase browsing speed for their customers. Caching means that any changes you make in your DNS server (dns zone) takes a bit of time to update worldwide.
There’s an option in DNS server to setup caching time for domain records, it’s called “Time To Live” (TTL). Here in Time4VPS we allow you to choose TTL value for your record from:
- 1 hour;
- 12 hours;
- 24 hours;
- 48 hours.
Be aware that some ISP’s do not follow TTL guidance or set their own TTLs, so some users might have to wait a bit longer than others.
